Paan Hermansson is Suturion’s CEO with close to 25 years of experience in the Medtech industry, having held several leadership positions in both sales and marketing. With a background in economics from Lund University, he has a proven track record of building highly effective and motivated teams, enabling individuals to reach their full potential. His international experience has provided a deep understanding of cultural differences and the complexities of various healthcare systems and their respective drivers. He has also developed a wide network of industry partners and key opinion leaders in different surgical specialties. In his spare time, Paan enjoys cycling, spending time with his two sons and wife as well as being in the outdoors.

Gabriel Börner is the founder and Chief Medical Officer of Suturion. He is also currently pursuing a PhD at Lund University. He holds a medical degree from Uppsala University and has been a consultant surgeon at the Trauma & Emergency team at Helsingborg Hospital since 2015 . With numerous accolades including the Hans Jeekel Award (2022) and a role as a surgeon expert in public procurement, Gabriel brings deep clinical expertise and a passion for innovation in healthcare. Outside of work, he enjoys endurance sports, composing music, and gardening. His personal motto is "If it doesn’t work today, it might work tomorrow”.

Kristina Persson is the Development Manager at Suturion, with 24 years of MedTech industry experience. She specializes in sourcing highquality components and reducing costs while enhancing quality. Kristina is an internal auditor for quality systems according to ISO 13485 and MDSAP and has led many quality improvement projects. She holds a Master in Business Administration and Economics from Linnaeus University and studied trade law at Lund University. Kristina contributes to the development of the SutureTOOL system. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her Tibetan dog, swimming, gardening, literature and music.

Charlotta Grahn is our Marketing Manager with over 25 years of experience in marketing and communication from the life science industry, including pharmaceuticals and probiotics. She holds a Master of Science in Business Administration and Economics with a focus on marketing. Charlotta excels in international B2B marketing, brand management, and project management. During her spare time, she enjoys training her two Labrador retrievers, tennis, and traveling. She is also a real foodie and loves to cook with family and friends.

Henrik Börjesson has an education in software engineering and business and brings over 20 years of sales and business development expertise in the medical technology sector. With a foundation of 17 years at Johnson & Johnson and 3 years at Boston Scientific as Sales Manager Nordics, Henrik has excelled in driving business growth and fostering key client relationships. As Sales Director for the Americas, Henrik now leads commercial strategies and market expansion across the region. Henrik is passionate about supporting child cancer research through fundraising efforts and enjoys cycling in his free time.

Sophia Verheij-Engqvist holds an MSc in Business Administration and Economics with additional studies in Economics and is a Certified Product Specialist via Swedish Medtech. She began her career at Business Sweden, specializing in market research for international expansion. With extensive international experience and as Sales Director for EMEA and Asia, Sophia leads commercial strategies and business development in the region, driving market expansion and customer engagement. She also plays a central role in sales training and partnerships. In her free time, Sophia enjoys spending time with family and friends and never misses an opportunity for a horse ride.

Johan Johansson has a Mechanical Engineering graduation from Uppsala University. With 7 years as an engineering consultant across diverse industries - consumer products, industrial machines, and MedTech - Johan specializes in product development, from conceptualization to mass production. His expertise spans designing parts for injection molding and sheet metal, prototyping, and creating necessary equipment. Beyond his professional role, Johan finds joy in playing the piano and exploring culinary arts, alongside a deep fascination with the ocean. Johan brings a versatile skill set and a passion for innovation to every project he undertakes.

Sara Brodde, our Office Manager, has worked in various fields, including designing artificial teeth, administration, event management, and retail. She holds a background in dental technology from Malmö University and International sales and marketing from the Sales & Marketing Academy Malmö. Sara’s professional achievements include publishing a study on polyetheretherketone (PEEK), which is relevant to our use of PEEK in SutureTOOL, in the Journal of the Mechanical Behavior of Biomedical Materials. Outside of work, Sara loves to create and be creative, often expressing her passion through interior design and gardening.

Esteban Sanchez Marquez is an ambitious, patientdriven Pharmaceutical Engineer with over 5 years of experience in Quality Management Systems and more than 2 years in global Regulatory Affairs within the medical device sector. With a flair for technology and a global mindset, he focuses on quality and regulatory processes. Esteban holds a B.Sc. in Biotechnology from the University of Salamanca, an M.Sc. in Applied Research from the University of Valladolid, and an M.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark. In his free time, he enjoys triathlons, traveling, and hiking.

Nils Myhr is a structured and solution-driven QA/QC Specialist with an MSc in Molecular Biotechnology from Uppsala University. He has a strong background in quality control within medical device manufacturing, specializing in document control, non-conformity handling, and process optimization. At Suturion, Nils plays a key role in ensuring high product quality by refining procedures and implementing improvements. Outside of work, he enjoys skiing, crocheting, and learning new languages. His motto: "Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn".

Nahuom Naizghi holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical & Materials Engineering from Malmö University and has also studied Business Administration at Lund University. With experience in mechanical design, consultancy, and startups, he brings strong problem-solving skills and a passion for turning innovation into practical solutions. As Mechanical Design Engineer & Project Lead at Suturion, Nahuom plays a key role in driving technology forward, ensuring the development of efficient and high-quality solutions. Outside work, he enjoys football, traveling, and exploring new cuisines. His motto: "Great things take time”.

Meije Heissler graduated from the International Social Science Program at ProCivitas in Helsingborg in 2023 and later pursued studies in natural science at Stockholm University. As Administrative assistant, she supports the Office Manager with administrative tasks, communications, and daily office operations, and is gaining valuable experience to support her future career. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, keeping up with sports like skiing, and being involved in music.
